Some people lost their jobs, others have lost love ones, but absolutely <em>nobody <\/em>has lost more than December short wearers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve all seen them; they stand in the halls wearing Under Armour\u2122 athletic shorts in 31 degree weather. They do so with absolutely no shame. They come in many forms: Brad, Brendan, and the occasional Nathan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The short wearers have formed a group, calling themselves the ADSW (Alliance of December Short Wearers.) The ADSW members describe themselves as a \u201csafe space for short wearers of all kinds\u201d on their website, ilovesharts.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When questioned about the website name, ADSW\u2019s website developer admitted: \u201cI spelled shorts wrong, the ADSW does not support sharts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many ADSW members are outraged over the current schooling situation. The rutabaga interviewed the club leader, Gilbert Shorts, to find out more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOnline school is oppressing the December shorts wearing community\u201d said Shorts \u201cHow else are we supposed to show how tough and cool we are if we can\u2019t show up to school in December with shorts on?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ADSW has also created a slogan: \u201cyou know my shorts, not my story\u201d which is currently being processed for trademark.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pandemic has affected all of us in some way or another.
